Josiah Nelson rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns to help Hutchinson, ranked No. 4 in Class 4A, run past host and 4A, No. 9 Becker 31-17 on Friday.

Hutchinson ran for 333 yards. Nelson scored on runs of 2 and 4 yards in the second quarter to help the Tigers take a 17-7 lead at halftime. The Bulldogs rallied to tie the score 17-17 in the third quarter, but Christian Kurth's 3-yard TD run with 8 minutes, 25 seconds remaining broke the tie and Nelson's 3-yard TD run with 4:34 left gave Hutchinson a two-touchdown lead.

The Tigers' Cade Ruppert recovered two Becker fumbles in the fourth quarter.

Blaine 34, Cretin-Derham Hall 21: Byron Bynum rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns as well as a two-point conversion as the host Bengals defeated the Raiders. Bynum, a senior, scored on runs for 32 and 17 yards in the first half as the Bengals built a 20-14 halftime lead. Connor Melton's 5-yard run and Bynum's two-point run extended Blaine's lead to 28-14 in the third quarter, and Bynum added a 7-yard TD run with 10:27 remaining to restore the Bengals' two-score lead.

St. Michael-Albertville 23, Centennial 0: The Class 6A, No. 4 Knights showed their mettle in shutting down the host Cougars, ranked No. 5 in Class 6A. Desean Phillips rushed for 90 yards and Mitch Kartes rushed for 67 yards and a TD for the Knights, who limited the Cougars to 106 yards rushing.

Eden Prairie 41, Wayzata 7: Solo Falaniko rushed for 111 yards and scored three touchdowns, and Antonio Montero scored two TDs and kicked five PATs to help the top-ranked Eagles over the visiting Trojans.

Maple Grove 44, Burnsville 16: Mohammed Al-Hawwari rushed for 267 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Crimson, ranked No. 7 in Class 6A, to a victory over the Blaze.

Glencoe-Silver Lake 21, Albany 14: Carsen Streich rushed for 125 yards and two TDs as the Panthers rallied to win. Streich's 66-yard TD run in the fourth quarter broke a 14-14 tie, and Dane Schwirtz intercepted an Albany pass in the end zone with three minutes remaining.

Stillwater 26, White Bear Lake 19: Cooper Yeary ran for one TD and caught another to help Stillwater to its first victory of the season in the 100th meeting between the Ponies and Bears.

St. Croix Lutheran 51, Fridley 33: James Chernohorsky rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown and Mike Stern rushed for 87 yards and two TDs to help the Class 3A, No. 1 Crusaders outlast Fridley. Nate Soto scored on kickoff returns of 85 and 86 yards and also ran for a TD for the Tigers.

Belle Plaine forfeits: Belle Plaine forfeited its game against rival Jordan because of a large number of players affected by impetigo, a highly contagious bacterial skin infection. It's spread mainly through skin-to-skin contact. "Administration became aware of some occurrences yesterday afternoon. Activities director John Bergs has consulted with the MSHSL doctor and we have followed their recommendations of safety on the athletes and our space," the school's administration said in a statement to families. "While I'm disappointed our students will not be able to participate in the rivalry game against Jordan tonight, I know we have taken the necessary safety precautions."

Losing streak ends: Roseau edged Eveleth-Gilbert 9-8 to end a 29-game losing streak. It was the first victory for the Rams, who trailed 8-0 at halftime, since a 21-6 victory over Warroad on Aug. 29, 2014.
