The Twins, who named their minor league managers earlier this winter, finalized their minor league coaching staffs Tuesday, two weeks before major league teams begin spring training.

The team's Class AAA team in Rochester, N.Y. will be managed by Mike Quade for the third consecutive season. Stu Cliburn returns as pitching coach and Chad Allen as hitting coach. The Red Wings will also have Larry Bennese as trainer for the fifth season and Tyler Burks joins the team as strength and conditioning coach.

Jake Mauer will manage the Class AA team in Chattanooga, Tenn., for the first time in his 10th season as a manager in the organization. The brother of Twins veteran Joe Mauer, Jake Mauer spent the past four seasons managing Class A Cedar Rapids. Mauer's pitching coach will be Ivan Arteaga, and former Twins catcher Javier Valentin is the hitting coach. Chris Johnson returns as trainer.

Doug Mientkiewicz, who managed Chattanooga for the past two seasons, moves to Class A Fort Myers, Fla. Henry Bonilla returns as the Miracle's pitching coach and Steve Singleton will be in his first season as hitting coach after working the Gulf Coast League last year.

Tommy Watkins takes over as manager at Class A Cedar Rapids after working as hitting coach in Chattanooga last season. J.P. Martinez will be the Kernels' pitching coach and Brian Dinkelman the hitting coach; both were also in Iowa last year.

At rookie level Elizabethton (Tenn.), Ray Smith returns as manager, his 24th season. Luis Ramirez returns as pitching coach and Jeff Reed as hitting coach.

The team's rookie level Gulf Coast League team will be managed by Ramon Borrego for the seventh season, with Virgil Vasquez the pitching coach and Cibney Bello in charge of pitching and rehab. Toby Gardenhire, son of former Twins manager Ron Gardenhire, is the hitting coach for the GCL Twins, moving from the baseball coaching position at Wisconsin-Stout. Jose Marzan is also a coach and Latin American Operations coordinator, and Phil Hartt will be the team's strength and conditioning coach.

The Dominican Summer League Twins will be managed by Asdrubal Estrada, with Manuel Santana as pitching coach and Jimmy Alvarez, Leury Bonilla and Jairo Rodriguez also coaching.

Joel Lepel will be back for his 12th season as minor league field coordinator, Eric Rasmussen his ninth year as pitching coordinator and Sam Perlozzo his fourth year as infield and baserunning coordinator. Rick Eckstein is the minor league hitting coordinator.

Tony Oliva will continue as a hitting consultant in addition to his role as a community relations representative.
