Any improvement plan starts here. An issue at left tackle could be helped with adding free agent Andrew Whitworth (Bengals), but the Vikings will have to spend draft picks here, too.
Running back
Adrian Peterson will be 32 and expensive. Adding a younger runner to pair with Jerick McKinnon might help on the field, with the budget.
Tweaks to defense
The defense was solid in 2016, but the addition of a strong middle presence on the line and depth at cornerback are necessary.
