Preview: The Wild, after playing Tuesday night in Edmonton, heads south to take on the Flames. The Wild lost in a shootout in Calgary on Dec. 2 and fell 1-0 at home to Calgary on Nov. 15. Minnesota is 11-4-2 in its past 17 games against Calgary and 11-4-2 in its past 17 games in Calgary after going 3-18-4 in its first 25 visits. The Flames have lost six of their past eighwt, but they beat Ottawa 3-2 in overtime heading into the All-Star break.

Players to watch: Calgary native Devan Dubnyk will start for the Wild. He is 18-2 in his past 20 starts and leads the NHL with a 1.88 goals-against average and .936 save percentage. He is 11-6-4 with a 2.13 goals-against average, .925 save percentage and two shutouts in 23 games against the Flames. C Mikko Koivu has 34 points in 58 games vs. Calgary. LW Zach Parise has scored 13 goals and 21 points in 19 meetings with the Flames. … Flames LW Johnny Gaudreau has 31 points in 42 games this season. C Sean Monahan leads the team with 16 goals. LW Matthew Tkachuk is tied for fourth among rookies with 31 points and is the king of drawing penalties.

Numbers: The Wild is 4-2-1 in the second of back-to-backs this season. … The Flames are ninth in the West with 2.83 goals allowed per game.
