Second half of back-to-back is a tough one

Preview: No problem, right? The Timberwolves had their makeup game with Portland at Target Center on Monday, then got on a charter for an hours-long flight to California to take on a Warriors team that has won 11 in a row, has had a day of rest and is a game clear of San Antonio in first place in the Western Conference. The Wolves shocked the Warriors in Oracle Arena in overtime last April 5. It will be tougher this time. The Warriors are looking to match their longest winning streak of the season (12) and are a league-best 33-4 at home this season. A victory would give the Warriors their 204th victory over three seasons (including playoffs), which would be the most in league history.

Players to watch: Wolves F/G Andrew Wiggins had 20 of his 24 points in the second half, including go-ahead free throws with 12.8 seconds left, in the Wolves' 103-102 victory over Golden State at Target Center on March 10. C Karl-Anthony Towns has averaged 22 points in three games vs. Golden State this season. Warriors G Stephen Curry is coming off a 42-point performance in the Warriors' 24-point victory over Washington on Sunday, and fellow All-Star G Klay Thompson has averaged 25.6 points in three games against the Wolves this season.

Injuries: Wolves G Zach LaVine (knee surgery) and F Nemanja Bjelica (foot surgery) are out. Warriors F Kevin Durant (left knee) is out. F Kevin Looney (left hip) is questionable.
