Saint Paul begins opening up seasonal bathrooms and fountains; issues reminder about park safety

Spring means long walks, running in the parks, frisbee and bicycling -- and the need for bathroom breaks while out and about in the parks.

Good news, park-goers. Beginning earlier this week, St. Paul Parks and Recreation began turning on the water in restrooms, fountains, and other water features and facilities within the parks. A full list of water facilities currently in operation is available online. The list will be updated as more locations are added over the coming weeks.

Parks and Recreation staffers want to remind folks to please be respectful when out and about and help keep the parks clean. "Remember to always obey posted rules and warning signs, keep vehicles locked, and do not leave valuables unattended," a department statement warns. A full list of park rules and regulations can be found online.
