A 85-year-old woman was killed and three others were hurt after a two-car crash near Interstate 35E on Monday.
St. Paul woman killed in apparent head-on crash
The crash occurred about 11 a.m. St. Paul police found two badly damaged vehicles and paramedics pronounced No Do of St. Paul, dead at the scene. Three people were transported to Regions Hospital for treatment.
Do was a back seat passenger in an SUV driven by her son, traveling eastbound on Pennsylvania Avenue, when it was struck by a car heading westbound, police said. Based on evidence collected at the scene and according to witness statements, it appeared the car crossed the centerline and struck the SUV head-on, police said.
The car was driven by a 22-year-old man.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the crash and whether drugs or alcohol were factors, police said.
