Stahl Construction plans to relocate its St. Louis Park offices to northeast Minneapolis.
The company will occupy 15,666 square feet of space as the first lessee in the Miller Textile Building, located at 861 Hennepin Ave. According to the announcement by the Ackerberg Group, which executed the lease, the new contract brings the building to 35 percent leased.
Since last December, the former Miller Bag Building has undergone an $8 million renovation and has been converted into office and retail space. The four-story building, which used to be a factory for lawn mower bags and potato sacks, has 10,000 square feet of retail space and 38,000 square feet of office space.
"We had an expansive list of criteria when we partnered with CBRE to find the space that would enable our firm to continue evolving and growing," said Jessie Houlihan Bingen, president of Stahl Construction, in a statement. "We plan to showcase our brand through a unique, sustainable design that honors the raw materials in the building, while enabling our team to work flexibly and collaboratively."
Stahl will occupy the entire second floor, which features exposed beams and brick.
