SHANGHAI – The Timberwolves scored 44 points in the first quarter Sunday morning. That pace wasn't going to last, and it didn't.

Steph Curry scored 40 points, propelling Golden State to a 142-110 victory and a split of the teams' two-game preseason series in China.

The Wolves gave up 36, 40 and 38 points in the first three quarters, and Curry, the 2015 and 2016 NBA MVP, did his part. He went 13-for-20 from the field, including 6-for-9 from three-point range, and added eight assists.

Golden State shot 60 percent from the field and 61 percent on three-pointers, making 20.

Andrew Wiggins led the Wolves in scoring with 19 points. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 16 points and Jimmy Butler 15. Klay Thompson made eight three-pointers for Golden State and scored 28 points. Kevin Durant scored 22.

The Wolves finish their preseason 2-1. The Warriors are 1-2.
