A call about a suspicious vehicle parked in a Brooklyn Park apartment complex turned into a death investigation when officers found two bodies inside the car.
Two found dead in car in Brooklyn Park; foul play not suspected
Brooklyn Park police say there doesn't appear to be evidence of foul play.
Police arrived in the 6300 block of N. Zane Avenue about 4 p.m. Tuesday and found two people dead in a Honda Civic with Minnesota plates, said Brooklyn Park Deputy Police Chief Mark Bruley.
The victims, a man and a woman, are believed to have been in the car for at least four days. Over the weekend, a resident saw a car running while it was in a parking spot reserved for guests. On Tuesday, when the same resident saw that the car was still there, the resident called police and told them there might be a body inside, Bruley said.
Instead, officers found two bodies, with both lying in reclined seats.
The names of the victims have not been released, but the man was 35 and the woman was 36, police said.
Police have not said how the victims died, but foul play is not suspected. Early indications also don't point to an overdose, Bruley said.
"There were no injuries and nothing obvious to indicate an overdose," he said, noting police found no needles at the scene.
Four investigators were working the case Wednesday, Bruley said.
