Uptown is officially getting a new multi-functional food emporium next week.

The Lynhall – an 11,500-square foot operation that includes a cafe, a bar, a bakery, a production kitchen, a market and a television studio – will debut on Wednesday.

In the cafe portion of the space, which will be open for three meals daily, chef Shane Oporto – formerly the chef de cuisine at La Belle Vie – will take the reins. He'll dole out items such as egg sandwiches, quiches and tartines for breakfast, switching to a lineup of tarts, salads and meaty sandwiches topped with the likes of grilled steak, lamb belly and salmon pastrami for lunch and dinner. A rotisserie will offer roast chickens, pork belly, smoked brisket and roasted lamb leg by the half or full pound.

The bakery, the focal point upon entering the artfully designed complex, will also tout a selection of coffee drinks – including espresso and nitro cold brew – and sweet and savory pastries and breads, available until 2 p.m.

But the bar will hardly be overlooked, despite that all its cocktails will be pre-mixed. Operated by all-star team Bittercube, the current list includes four cocktails on tap – including sangria and the Home on the Grange, a gin cocktail infused with rhubarb and spring herbs – four classic cocktails (Old Fashioned, martini, Negroni, El Presidente) and a handful of spritzers, all with a focus on Minnesota spirits and ingredients. Wine and beer will also be available and a few thoughtful non-alcoholic drinks make the cut as well.

An incubator kitchen will be available to rent 24/7 by entrepreneurs making their own goods, by way of key card access.

A television studio, complete with professional-grade equipment, will also be available for rent.

The Lynhall will display any goods produced in the kitchens at what will eventually be a market component.

The same area will also be used for private events.

The facility was designed by James Dayton Design.
