The Vikings departed from offseason workouts with four quarterbacks, but arrived to Mankato with just seven healthy feet at the position.

So it makes sense they had interest in quarterback Nick Foles, who reportedly agreed with the Kansas City Chiefs and his former head coach Andy Reid on Wednesday night.

Foles, 27, was released by the Los Angeles Rams last month and had offers from multiple teams, including the Vikings and Dallas Cowboys, per NFL Media. Foles (6-6, 243) has started 35 games with one Pro Bowl appearance since he was drafted in 2012′s third round by Philadelphia.

An opening in Minnesota surfaced when Taylor Heinicke, the third-string quarterback last season, arrived to camp with a torn tendon in his foot. He was placed on the non-football injury list and is expected to be sidelined for at least a couple months.

Shaun Hill, 36, is entering his second season as the backup to starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Behind them is undrafted free agent Joel Stave out of Wisconsin.

The Vikings currently sit with one open roster spot.
