A 70-year-old woman was found dead in a Washington County swimming pool Thursday, police said.

Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies responded about 5:30 p.m. to a report of a woman found in Grant city pool. First responders at the scene were unable to revive the woman, whose identity has not been released pending family notification.
It remains unclear whether the pool is private or public.
The incident is under investigation by the Sheriff's Office and the Ramsey County medical examiner's office.
Grant is about 6 miles west of Stillwater and has just over 4,000 residents.
