The death of a woman found Monday in St. Paul's Highland Park neighborhood does not appear to be suspicious, said police, adding that few other details were available.

Asked if the woman could have succumbed to the weather, St. Paul police spokesman Steve Linders said, "Unclear, but she was found outside."

It's unclear how long she was outside before she was discovered.

Police found the woman about 11 a.m. after responding to a call in the 900 block of Cleveland Avenue South. The woman's identity and cause of death were not released pending an autopsy scheduled for Tuesday.

Linders said he did not know whether the woman was wearing weather-appropriate clothing, or where she was coming from or going to. Police roped off a section of Cleveland Avenue that is home to a number of apartment complexes a few blocks from several restaurants and bars at Cleveland and Ford Parkway.

It's unclear if the woman lived nearby, but she was found outside a residence, Linders said.
