10.15.12 The game plan

October 15, 2012 at 6:17AM

THE BUZZ The Vikings lost, the Lynx lost, the Gophers football team lost and the Gophers football team's coach ended up back in the hospital. All in all, a lost weekend.

REMOTE PATROL Denver again? The Broncos make their third prime-time appearance of 2012 (7:30 p.m., ESPN); two of their other three games have been on TV here, too.

CLICK PICK The Yankees fansite NoMaas.org had a good suggestion for its fading, Derek Jeter-less team: play Alex Rodriguez at shortstop and Eric Chavez at third.

STAR GAZING Just wondering: If Game 1 of the NLCS had been in D.C., would Fox's Joe Buck have done double duty there instead (Vikings-Redskins, Giants-Nationals)?

FAST FACT The combined 116 points when Texas A&M beat Louisiana Tech 59-57 were the most in A&M history, eclipsing a 110-0 victory over Daniel Baker in 1920.
