A second boating accident in a week claimed two more Minnesota lives Saturday.

Three occupants went into the water when a boat overturned near Boyd's Landing on Lac qui Parle.

The boat flipped shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The Lac qui Parle County Sheriff's Office says authorities pulled three people from the water. A man and a girl were taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson, Minn., where the girl died. A woman died at the Chippewa County Hospital in Montevideo.

Authorities are investigating. The names of the victims should be released Monday, a dispatcher said.

On June 2, a Minnetonka man, Dick Barber, 78, died after his canoe capsized in the Basswood River rapids in Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario. His wife swam to shore in her life jacket and was rescued by a helicopter crew.
