2 killings in 3 days in Minneapolis; no arrests made yet

A man who was stabbed in the neck late last week in downtown Minneapolis has died, authorities said Sunday, the second homicide in the city in three days.

A man who was stabbed in the neck late last week in downtown Minneapolis has died, authorities said Sunday, the second homicide in the city in three days.

Arrests have not been made in either case, nor have the victims' identities been released.

About 2 a.m. Sunday, a man was fatally shot outside in the 2100 block of 4th Street N., police said. Officers who saw the man had been shot performed resuscitation and treated the man until an ambulance arrived, police added.

The man was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he died.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, people walking near the 800 block of Park Avenue came upon a man who was bleeding and unconscious, police said.

Officers arrived, gave the man medical aid and took him to Hennepin County Medical Center, less than a block away.

Police searched the areas where both victims were found and began to follow up on leads in an pursuit of whoever is responsible.
