Honda's popular Odyssey minivan was significantly updated for the 2008 model year.

Exterior styling enhancements include a bolder, six-sided grille design and a front bumper fascia with crisp lines.

Offered in LX, EX, EX-L and Touring models, the Odyssey minivan receives power from an advanced 3.5L i-VTEC SOHC V-6 engine with an updated version of Honda's variable cylinder management system. The engine is connected to a compact five-speed automatic transmission.

Underway, the Honda minivan is a smooth runner. Capable and powerful at speed, the Odyssey feels more like a luxury car than the functional minivan it was created to be. Built on the latest version of Honda's Global Light Truck Platform, the Odyssey boasts a low center of gravity and wider track for better handling and control.

Interior styling receives new colors and textures for the instrument panel, along with premium fabric for LX and EX model seating surfaces. The automaker's 2nd Row Plus One Seat gains additional storage, while MP3 capability and an auxiliary input jack join the standard equipment roster. On a safety note, active front seat head restraints and daytime running lights are now standard.

The Honda interior reflects an emphasis on technology and first class accommodations. Excellent displays and controls greet the driver, with a good view of the road. Numerous cubbyholes and storage bins are located all over the cabin.

Seating versatility is where the Odyssey shines. Top-of-the-line models boast room for eight, while the Stowable 2nd Row Plus One Seat fits between the two captain's chairs in the second row and attaches to the mounting points in the floor. The seat can recline, and when not in use, the seat folds forward and can double as a console complete with storage tray. If a center walk-through to the third row seats is desired, the seat can be removed and stowed in the In-Floor storage area between the first and second rows. Honda's 3rd Row Magic Seat is a 60/40 split featuring one-motion operation for the utmost in convenience and utility.
