Authorities on Saturday released the identity of a 90-year-old Chanhassen man killed in a fire at an assisted living facility.

George C. Dorsey Jr., a World War II veteran formerly from Edina, died Tuesday of complications from burns, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner. A fire broke out at his home on the Summerwood of Chanhassen complex, across from the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres.

It remains unclear what started the blaze. The state fire marshal and the Chanhassen Fire Department are investigating.

Dorsey, a St. Thomas College and University of Minnesota Medical School graduate, became a partner at the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology and Psychiatry and St. Mary's Drug and Alcohol Rehab, according to his online obituary. He is survived by 10 children, 23 grandchildren and three great-grand children.
