Willians being Willians

• On his fourth major league organization. Never made it to the bigs with the Phillies, Braves or Diamondbacks.

• Listed at 5-9, 225 pounds.

• Nicknamed "La Tortuga," which is Spanish for "The Turtle."

• The only position he has never played as a professional is shortstop.

• Is the only player in Twins history besides Cesar Tovar to play (though not start) at catcher and center field.

• Made his MLB debut on June 30, 2018, at the age of 26. Still has rookie status.

• Swung at 57.2 percent of the 299 pitches he faced last season. Of those 168 swings, he failed to make contact just 16 times.

• Of the 75 two-strike pitches he faced, he let 27 go by (never called out) and swung at 48 (fouled off 17, put 28 in play, swung and missed three times).
