Allianz Field Firsts

First missed chance: Loons striker Angelo Rodriguez's header from the middle of the box from Darwin Quintero's centering ball just went over the crossbar in the fourth minute.

First yellow card: The Loons' Ozzie Alonso on NYCFC's Maximiliano Moralez in the eighth minute.

First goal: In the 13th minute Alonso scored on a powerful volley from 8 yards directly in front of the goal after an NYCFC player headed out a Rodriguez header angling for the net.

First assist: Ethan Finlay, on Rodriquez's goal, tying the score 2-2.

First big oops: NYCFC keeper Sean Johnson turned the most innocent of long balls played back to him into a weird own goal after he tried to switch the ball from one foot to the other and it got away.

First blue smoke sighting: The Loons' supporters section let loose after Alonso's goal.

First fan foil: In the second half, Johnson tended goal just a few yards from the Loons' raucous supporters' section. His every touch of the ball drew merciless roars.

First Loons sub: Rasmus Schuller replaced Romario Ibarra in the 60th minute.
