With Mitch Leidner out, here is the Gophers' new QB depth chart:
Starter: Conor Rhoda
Rhoda is in his fourth season in the program, arriving as a redshirt walk-on after a strong career at Cretin-Derham Hall. The 6-foot-3 junior has completed just one pass in three collegiate games, a six-yarder against Indiana State on Sept. 10.
Backup: Demry Croft
The 6-5 athlete got Gophers fans excited with some quick bursts of intriguing play against Northwestern and Purdue last season, but the sophomore was beaten out by Rhoda in preseason camp. The Gophers were hoping to redshirt him this season, saving three years of eligibility.
