1. Twins

Joe Mauer, C, Cretin-Derham Hall High

He is a three-time batting champion and six-time All-Star. Was the AL MVP in 2009 and won three Gold Gloves at catcher.

2. Chicago Cubs

Mark Prior, RHP, Univ. of Southern California

3. Tampa Bay

Dewon Brazelton, RHP, Middle Tennessee State

A disaster as a major leaguer. Moved between the starting rotation and bullpen. Retired with an 8-25 record and 6.38 ERA.

4. Philadelphia

Gavin Floyd, RHP, Mount St. Joseph (Md.) High

Last pitched in 2016 for Toronto. Has a career record of 74-76 with a 4.37 ERA, mostly with the White Sox (seven seasons).

5. Texas

Mark Teixeira, 3B, Georgia Tech

Recent retiree had 409 HRs and 1,298 RBI in 14 seasons. Three-time All-Star, five Gold Gloves at first base, MVP runner-up (behind Mauer) in 2009.
