A look at youths struck by gunfire in Minneapolis

According to police, 22 children have been struck by gunfire so far in 2021.

According to Minneapolis police, 22 children have been struck by gunfire so far in 2021. Among them:

Jan. 4: A 7-year-old is grazed by a bullet when 17 rounds were fired at 24th and James avenues N.

Feb. 14: A 15-year-old is shot in the shoulder at Olson Hwy. and Lyndale Avenue N.

March 8: Kohlin Louis Fohrenkam-Differenthorse, 14, died when he was shot several times in the 2600 block of Cedar Avenue S.

March 27: A 16-year-old is shot in the leg in the 3200 block of Emerson Avenue N.

March 28: A 16-year-old is shot in the leg and a 17-year-old is shot in the hand at a gas station in the 1600 block of West Broadway.

March 29: A 16-year-old is shot in the 900 block of West Broadway.

March 29: Aries Trayvon Hubbard, 17, is killed in a shootout in the 400 block of 14th Avenue SE. in Dinkytown.

April 8: A 13-year-old is struck at a bus stop at Penn and Broadway avenues N.

April 12: Jaden Blackmon, 15, dies after a shootout in which another man, 35, was killed.

April 26: A 1-year-old is struck by bullet fragments in the hands in the 1800 block of Lowry

Avenue N.

April 30: Ladavionne Garrett Jr., 10, is shot in the head while riding in a vehicle in the 3400 block of Morgan Avenue N.

May 9: A 15-year-old was shot in the abdomen in the 2700 block of Bryant Avenue N.

May 15: Trinity Ottoson-Smith, 9, is struck in the head by gunfire while bouncing on a trampoline in the 2200 block of Ilion Avenue N.

May 17: Aniya Allen, 6, is struck in the head by gunfire while riding in a vehicle in the 3500 block of Penn Avenue N.

May 18: A 17-year-old boy was shot and injured in the 3500 block of Emerson Avenue N.
