A swampy and thundery Wednesday on tap
But next week will end with comfortable 60s and 70s.
Dew points are in the 70s and temperatures should peak in the low 90s, making for a heat index in the upper 90s to near 100 degrees by late afternoon. Heat advisories may be issued. Take it easy out there.
With all this moisture in the air and an unstable atmosphere overhead, conditions are ripe for strong to severe thunderstorms, even a chance of a mesoscale convective system later Wednesday; a swarm of hundreds of thunderstorms capable of flooding rain and hail. Downpours linger into Thursday, but I see dry weather and 90 degrees Friday and Saturday, maybe a stray thunderstorm Sunday as cooler air arrives.
The first whiff of fall is shaping up: Comfortable 60s and 70s by the end of next week? Oh yeah.
