Saturday: playoffs begin
April 30: earliest start for conference semifinals
May 15: earliest start for conference finals
May 17: draft lottery
May 31: earliest start for NBA Finals
June 16: latest possible date for NBA Finals
June 23: draft in Newark, N.J.
