Aya Cash isn't the only graduate of the Guthrie Theater/University of Minnesota acting program to make it in show business. Here are some highlights for other alumni:

CLASS OF 2004

Matthew Amendt: Currently starring as Acaste in Pearl Theatre's production of "The Misanthrope" in New York.

Santino Fontana: Played Hamlet in the final production at the old Guthrie. Currently playing Algernon in "The Importance of Being Earnest" with Brian Bedford on Broadway.

CLASS OF 2005

Marc Halsey: On the writing staff for ABC-TV's "Brothers & Sisters."

CLASS OF 2006

Sam Taylor and Namir Smallwood: Both will appear in Steppenwolf's upcoming production of "The Hot L Baltimore" in Chicago. Taylor also had a recurring role in the HBO series "Boardwalk Empire."

CLASS OF 2007

Valeri Mudek: Performed in the British premiere of "Tiny Kushner."

CLASS OF 2008

Nicole Rodenburg: Recently played Cherie in a Boston production of "Bus Stop."

CLASS OF 2009

Ben Rosenbaum: Currently in the Acting Company's national tour of "The Comedy of Errors."

CLASS OF 2010

James Leighton: Did "An Actor Prepares" last year at 59E59 Theaters in New York.
