Arrest follows St. Paul graduation

June 6, 2012 at 4:59AM

A small ruckus broke out Tuesday night after the Central High School graduation ceremony at Roy Wilkins Auditorium, prompting St. Paul police to spray a chemical irritant to break up the confrontation.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of assault and were looking for another person involved in the incident about 10 p.m., according to police spokesman Howie Padilla.

According to preliminary reports, a family dispute erupted among two or three people, then others in the crowd started to get involved, Padilla said.
