Opening Saturday: As if willing spring to come, Twin Cities artists Pamela Belding and Kate Van Cleve have marshaled a flotilla of little boats, a covey of ceramic figures clad in flowering vines and a flock of imaginative paintings of vernal scenes. Belding's totemic ceramic sculptures wrap human and animal creatures in webs of pretty pastel vines, while Van Cleve's whimsical paintings celebrate the pleasures of fresh garden air, newly potted plants, budding trees and ravenous baby birds like the robins clamoring for their lunch in this charming vignette. Their new show includes an installation of tiny boats sailing gaily through the gallery, each unique and "on the verge" of some symbolic transformation, as suggested by the exhibit's title. (Reception 7-10 p.m. Sat., free. Rosalux Gallery, 1011 Washington Av. S., Mpls. Ends April 27, free. 612-270-5831 or www.rosaluxgallery.com)
