For the first time since training camp began last Sunday, Asjha Jones was able to take part in the majority of Thursday's practice.

"It was nice to have her out there," Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve said. "We were kind of easing her in gradually. But today was the most she's done. She looks like Asjha Jones. She looks very steady.''

Jones was acquired from Connecticut prior to camp, primarily to fill the roster hole created by Janel McCarville's decision not to play this summer. But a pre-camp physical showed a blood-count issue that was resulting in fatigue. But treatment has been successful and Jones is close to being able to go full-out.

She was able to take part in what Reeve described as a very up-tempo practice.

Here are some other nuggets from today's practice.

--Reeve will hold another practice tonight, then give the players Friday off.

--Monica Wright, who has been out with a strained calf, was able to do a little bit in practice today. She is getting close to returning.

--Former University of Minnesota player Shae Kelley is taking on a new challenge. A power forward in college, she has been working out at small forward this week. It appears she and Asia Taylor will be competing for a roster spot.

--Tricia Liston (quad soreness) was held out of Thursday's practice.
