"Are you ready for some football … wives?" producer Grant Whittaker bellowed to delighted whoops and applause at the 17th annual Off The Field Players' Wives Fashion Show.

The mostly female crowd of several hundred, many enjoying a glass of wine, gathered Friday at Edina Galleria's Design Within Reach. The show benefited the Women's Foundation of Minnesota and featured about 40 wives of coaches and current and former NFL players.

Minnesotans on the runway were many, including event co-chair and businesswoman Nicole Jennings, wife of former Vikings wide receiver Greg; personal trainer Jenni Greenway, wife of former linebacker Chad; Tiffany Griffen, wife of Vikings defensive end Everson, and business developer Angelique Chamberlain, wife of former tight end Byron.

The audience, buoyed by reminders of Life After Winter, was treated to an eye-popping parade of color, including vibrant floral dresses, red jeggings and jackets, and a cerulean blue mini dress. The show brought out sequins and stilettos, bell bottoms and a bomber jacket, fur and leopard prints.
