Authorities find drugs in SCSU dorm room; student arrested

Search found marijuana, pills and cash

A St. Cloud State University student was arrested and faces charges on four counts of drug possession and sale of controlled substances following a raid this morning on a room in a dormitory, police said.

Officers from the St. Cloud Drug Unit executed a search warrant in room 423 of Stearns Hall around 8 a.m. They found 71 grams of suspected marijuana, 14 Adderal pills, a prescription commonly used to treat ADHD, and $873 cash, said Sgt. Tom Gjemse of the St. Cloud Police Department.

One 19-year-old male was arrested. Two other people were in the room at the time, but they were not arrested.
