Authorities have identified the man whose body was found during a fire at a boat landing in Hastings over the weekend.
The death of Kyle D. Hamilton, 30, of Hastings, is now under investigation by the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension among others, according to police.
Still pending from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office are the cause and the manner of the death.
Hamilton's body was discovered about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the Jaycee Park boat landing at 420 Lock and Dam Road. His remains were near a wooden enclosure that became engulfed in flames, according to police.
