Palin: "Michelle knows we can't spend our way out of problems."
"When it comes to federal bailout money, said Palin, too many think "this is all free money and somehow magically it's (All) going" to work out. She compared the bailout money to an addiction, calling it o-p-m, or "other people's money."
Palin on Bachmann: "A lot of conservative women, like Michelle, they're standing up and speaking out."
As Congressman John Kline was introduced to loud applause, a video monitor in the back of the hall suddenly flashed a picture of a smiling President Bill Clinton as part of a montage of other prominent events and speakers who had appeared at the convention center over the years. Most in the hall did not see it.
KTLK radio host warms up the crowd by inviting them to look around the convention center, "This is what the waiting room at the Obamacare clinic is going to look like in 2014."
As the Pledge of Allegiance was recited to kick off the rally, a man stood in the back of the large crowd wearing a Republican party vest and many campaign buttons, one of which read simply: "Thank you Governor Pawlenty."
