Gophers senior defenseman Ben Marshall was named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week after recording three points during the team's road trip to Boston.
Marshall scored what would stand as the game-winning goal in the Gophers' 6-2 victory over ranked Boston College on Friday night. He added two assists on two power-play goals for his seventh career multi-point game in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Northeastern.
Marshall is the team's seventh-best scorer with two goals and four assists on the season. It's his first Big Ten weekly honor.
Michigan sophomore goaltender Zach Nagelvoort was the First Star and Ohio State sophomore goaltender Christen Frey was the Second Star.
The Gophers open Big Ten play this weekend at Michigan State and then head into a three-week winter break.
