The owners of Hymie’s Vintage Records in Minneapolis stuck by vinyl throughout the CD era, and now the store offers a huge stock of collectibles, rarities and more. (The Minnesota Star Tribune)

There are bigger, hipper and certainly newer places to buy vinyl, but there aren't any better than Hymie's Vintage Records. Owners Laura and Dave Hoenack — a couple young enough to have grown up on CDs — took over the shop in 2009 and moved it to a more workable space just as the resurgence of vinyl set in. Their timing was as good as their inventory. They maintain a deep stock of collectibles, rarities, cool 45s and lots of odd/obscure/questionable records priced cheap enough to take a chance on. 3820 E.
