How fitting that the hardest-working couple in the Twin Cities restaurant business is also arguably the most successful. The very definition of marital teamwork, Isaac Becker (he cooks) and Nancy St. Pierre (she runs the front of the house) made their first big splash with 112 Eatery, refined their packed-every-night mojo with Bar La Grassa and recently cemented their place in the local dining firmament by launching their ambitious Burch Steakhouse and Pizza Bar. Here's a sign of their devotion: When Becker was named Best Chef: Midwest by the James Beard Foundation in 2011, he insisted that St. Pierre join him on stage at New York City's Avery Fisher Hall to accept the award. Sweet.
