Bicyclist killed in collision with pickup truck near Rochester

The cyclist was a 48-year-old man from Rochester.

A 48-year-old bicyclist was killed in a crash with a pickup truck just outside of Rochester this week, authorities said.

Stephen F. Pieper of Rochester died in the collision, which occurred about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Country Club Road and SW. 60th Avenue in Rochester Township, the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.

The pickup driver, James Hanson, 61, of rural Oronoco, was not injured, the Sheriff's Office said.
