The Wild had missed the Stanley Cup playoffs for four straight seasons before signing Ryan Suter and Zach Parise. It has made the playoffs every year since but has won only two series.

2012-13: Lost in five games to Chicago, which went on to win the Stanley Cup.

2013-14: Beat Colorado 4-3 before falling to Chicago 4-2.

2014-15: Beat St. Louis 4-2 before being swept by Chicago, the eventual Cup champions.

2015-16: Parise (back) missed 4-2 first-round loss to Dallas.

2016-17: Lost 4-1 in the first round to St. Louis.

2017-18: Suter (broken leg) missed 4-1 first-round loss to Winnipeg.
