Chavis averages 23.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game for the Class 4A, No. 2 Pirates (25-3). “He’s a hard worker and really talented. He competes hard on the defensive end as well as offensively,” Washington coach Mike Hopkins said. He is hitting 55% of his shots.
