The three candidates for governor are slated to participate in a debate next month hosted by BringMeTheNews.com that will heavily incorporate social media.

The event will be held at the Pantages Theater on Hennepin Avenue on September 15 and will be moderated by BMTN CEO Rick Kupchella. It will be broadcast live on the site, and Kupchella will ask his own questions, as well as those from "thought-leaders" and submitted via twitter.

"By livestreaming and taking questions through our social networks including Twitter and Facebook, we can make this a truly interactive, two-way conversation between the candidates and the people," Kupchella said in a statement.
