Brooklyn Center man, 81, with dementia is missing

Authorities looked Tuesday for a 81-year-old Brooklyn Center man with Alzheimer's disease who had been missing since Monday afternoon.

John Valencic was last seen leaving a Buffalo, Minn., gas station, Brooklyn Center police said Tuesday. Authorities believe he is driving a gold 2005 Buick LaCrosse with Minnesota license plates VGU079.

Valencic was described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 172 pounds, white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, blue shirt and blue jeans.
