Key to the game: Burnsville came up with big momentum-grabbing plays going into and coming out of halftime. The Blaze answered a Lakeville South touchdown with one of its own, scoring on a Stephan Olson Jr. 5-yard-run with 40 seconds left in the first half. The Blaze then started the second half by recovering an onside kick and keeping the ball out of the hands of the Lakeville South offense.

Quote: "I played for Coach [Larry] Thompson, so I know how big this win is for us. We're 2-0, but I hope we're not satisfied. There's more to go," Burnsville coach Tyler Krebs, who played football at Lakeville before the district split into two high schools.

One thing to know: Burnsville started the 2014 season 2-0 but then lost its next five games.
