Whether big or small, urban or rural, we're looking for gardens that give back and are beautiful in spirit.

Instead of just looking for picture-perfect gardens, we invited readers to nominate home gardens that contributed to the greater good.
From a St. Paul resident who grew food for the neighborhood to a Roseville gardener whose plant sales supported schools in Tanzania, green thumb enthusiasts dug deep not only in their yards, but in their mission to make the world a better place.
We enjoyed the entries so much that we're continuing the theme for this year's Beautiful Gardens contest. So if you know of a Minnesota or western Wisconsin home garden beautiful in spirit, we want to hear from you.
To nominate a garden: Send a brief description of the garden and why it fits with this year's theme, where it's located and who tends it. Please include your name, phone number and some photos of the garden.
