NOTABLE RULE 5 DRAFTEES FOR TWINS

Johan Santana, P, 1999: Won two Cy Young Awards for the Twins, and from 2003 to 2007 was 82-35 with a 2.92 ERA.

Shane Mack, OF, 1989: Had a successful five-year run with the Twins and was an integral part of the 1991 World Series team.

Doug Corbett, P, 1979: Became an effective closer after being the last of three Rule 5 draftees taken by the Twins in December 1979.

Gerry Arrigo, P, 1960: Debuted as a 20-year-old in 1961 (the Twins' first season).

Scott Diamond, P, 2010: Was the Twins' top starter in 2012 but had a horrible season in 2013 and was released from the minors in 2014.
