Along with most hotel dining rooms, a number of Twin Cities restaurants are open on Christmas Eve, including:

St. Paul's venerable Lexington Restaurant is serving lunch and dinner, then closing at 7 p.m. (1096 Grand Av., St. Paul, 651-222-5878, www.thelexongrand.com)

Bloomington seafood-er Blue Point Restaurant is serving lunch, with dinner until 8 p.m. The restaurant's Wayzata location will be closed. (4400 W. 78th St., 952-767-9711, www.bluepointrestaurantandbar.com)

Oceanaire Seafood Room is concentrating on dinner, 5 to 9 p.m. (50 S. 6th St., Mpls., 612-333-2277, www.theoceanaire.com)

Steak lovers can take refuge at the Capital Grille at lunch; dinner will be served until 10 p.m. (801 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., 612-692-9000, www.thecapitalgrille.com)

Suburban steak lovers should consider Wildfire, which is serving lunch, followed by dinner until 9:15 p.m. (8251 Flying Cloud Dr., Eden Prairie, 952-914-9100, www.wildfirerestaurant.com/eden-prairie)

Plan an early evening at pretty Tria Restaurant, Bar and Event Center, which will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. (5959 Centerville Rd., North Oaks, 651-426-9222, www.triarestaurant.com)

Eagan's charming Jensen's Supper Club is following a similar schedule, with dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. (3840 Cedarvale Blvd., Eagan, 651-688-7969, www. jensenssupperclub.com)

Downtown's new Copper Pot Indian Grill will offer its terrific buffet-style lunch, followed by its à la carte dinner until 10 p.m. (10 S. 5th St., Mpls., 612-331-5577, www.copperpotus.com)

For a casual breakfast, lunch or dinner (to 7 p.m.), drop in on Patrick's Bakery & Cafe. (2928 W. 66th St., Richfield, 612-861-7570, www.patricksbakerycafe.com)
