"I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas." All I can say is that many of you may getyour wish. At least, the pattern setting up is favorable for that sort ofthing. The absolute best white Christmas I ever enjoyed happened in 1966. At thattime, a major storm tracked right up the Eastern Seaboard dumping heavy snowfrom Virginia to New England on Christmas Eve. The greatest amounts from thestorm was as much as 2 feet from eastern Pennsylvania to the Hudson Valley ofNew York.

Okay, back to the business at hand. During the next few days, two large weathersystems will stall over eastern North America. This will force a large body ofcold air southward into the United States. In turn, this could set up a fairlyactive storm track from the East Slopes of the Rockies, toward the Gulf Statesthen finally exiting somewhere along the East Coast.
As you well know, widespread cold air and storms parading by to the south oftenbring snow to large expanses of the country.
