Minnesotan fashionistas may soon be able to cross another store off their retail wish list.

Zara, the Spain-based "fast fashion" retailer, appears to be opening a store at the Mall of America.

The chain, which is similar to H & M or Forever 21 but with a more mature and upscale approach, has about 50 stores in the U.S. The closest stores to Minnesota are in the Chicago area.

Spokespeople for the Mall of America and Zara did not respond to requests for comment on Tuesday.

But local fashion blogs began buzzing Tuesday afternoon after spotting a flurry of Zara job postings that were blasted on career sites for positions ranging from cashiers and sales associates to managers and visual merchandisers.

"Zara is thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new store location in Mall of America, Minnesota!" the job postings said.

Zara said earlier this year that it plans to open more than a dozen stores in the U.S. this year, including a couple new locations in New York City. It has more than 2,000 stores in 88 countries.
