Stand-up comic and actor Chris Rock has declared a "Total Blackout" for Minneapolis and other cities around the country, revealing his first tour in nine years.

Rock made the announcement Monday in a Facebook Live video shot outside the Comedy Store in Hollywood.
The tour brings Rock to the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Minneapolis on March 10. It's the same venue that hosted Rock in 2008, when he entertained a sold-out audience for nearly two hours with biting racial and political commentary.

"First time in nine years, haven't done it in awhile," Rock said on the Facebook feed, promising all new material. "Been a little busy ... But hey, it's time, OK."
The tour came together shortly after he signed a deal with Netflix for two stand-up specials. The tour starts Feb. 14 in Durham, N.C., and wraps up in the same state, in Cherokee, on May 25.
