MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS MGI Pharma Inc., Bloomington, announced the completion of its $3.9 billion acquisition by Eisai Co. Ltd., Tokyo. As a result, MGI Pharma has become a subsidiary of Eisai Corp. of North America.

NEW PRODUCTS ADC Telecommunications Inc., Eden Prairie, announced immediate availability of its OmniReach multiple dwelling unit drop cables for fiber-to-the-premises applications.

Colder Products Co., St. Paul, introduced its SRC Connector for medical applications. The alternative medical tubing connector is designed to eliminate potential misconnections that can occur with other fittings.

Cymbet Corp., Elk River, announced commercial availability of its new EnerChip family of thin-film battery devices. They are designed for semiconductor, medical, sensor, RFID, communications and portable electronic devices.

Digi International Inc., Minnetonka, introduced the Digi Connect WAN GPRS, a second generation, commercial grade, GSM GPRS Class 10 cellular router to provide secure connectivity to remote sites and devices.

Medtronic Inc., Fridley, announced FDA approval of the CGMS iPro Recorder, a physician-use continuous glucose monitoring system.

Omnetics Connector Corp., Fridley, has made available Nano-Miniature Bi-Lobe connectors in single- and dual-row formats. The connectors are suitable for applications including military/aerospace and high-end industrial equipment.

Stratasys Inc., Eden Prairie, introduced the FDM 360mc, an additive fabrication system for prototyping and direct digital manufacturing applications, at the Medical Design & Manufacturing (Pacific Design) Show in Anaheim, Calif.

PERSONNEL MOVES Exante Financial Services, Minnetonka, named Kelvin Anderson president of Exante Bank. Exante administers health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts and health reimbursement arrangements.

SurModics Inc., Eden Prairie, added Robert Buhrmaster and Susan Knight to the board of directors. Buhrmaster is the retired chairman, president and CEO of Jostens Inc. Knight is vice president and chief financial officer at MTS Systems Inc.
